Water Softener Brands in Utah

Water Softener Brands in Utah

Water Softener Brands in UtahThere are many water softener brands in Utah. As customers call in, it’s easy to see how and why they have so many questions.  When it comes to making a purchase and spending your money, it does make sense to do a little looking first.   After all, branding costs more and in the next few minutes you will begin to see why.  If you want to save money and get everything you are looking for without the “branding price tag” hang with me here and I will explain.

Let’s say you love a pair of shoes which has a certain logo printed on the side of that pair of shoes.  Inevitably those shoes will cost you more because of that logo.   You’ll pay more because of the licensing of that  name and that is how things are marketed. We are used to it and many people won’t buy that pair unless that name is printed or engraved on the side.  It seems it’s prestigious or cool or both and this is how many products seem to get more attention.

Ok that’s with a pair of shoes.  Now let’s consider something that isn’t scene on your feet but sits in the basement away from any onlookers.  I am using this as an example because truthfully this is how things work, at least with me they do.  Many years ago I decided to do my very best to eliminate all the things and costs that  end up costing the customer more money.  Branding is one of those area’s the is often misunderstood and always brings a higher price tag. Now hear me out and see if you would agree.

Let’s say as a dealer I have the option of building a water softener with the highest grade of materials, the very best resins available in the world, along with the very best and thickest tank in which to house the resins.   Since the resins do the work, I made a vow years ago to use only the best resins available and never to use cheaper or Chinese imported, cracked or factory seconds.  They do cost less however and will soften water, but they aren’t designed to last very long.  So I don’t use them as other companies do.  They want to sell you another one in 5-9  years when they could have represented something much better.  It’s called “repeat business” to sell you again when the resins are too small to do the job anymore.   Sure it’s what most companies do and maybe I should do the same thing but I don’t and my customers seem to appreciate the “heads up” information.

Now, here is another area that makes a difference.   If this company cuts out 90% of the overhead associated with purchasing a water softener, it should inevitably cost you less money and therefore give you a much better product for less money.  Cut out the “branding” cost because all that represents to you is an “expensive sticker” which increases the price.   Remember, this isn’t a luxury purse or pair of shoes which you will never wear, it’s a water softener built specifically for your hard water needs.  It sits in your basement and when was the last time you yelled out to your friends, “Hey, come and look at my water softener in my basement?”  That may happen but I seriously doubt it. Now add into this scenario the best timing device and that is digitally metered, regulates the flow as well as the usage of salt which is required to clean the resins after they have removed all the minerals from the water. One that meters every gallon, cleans when it should and gives you the softest water at a price that puts a smile on your face.  One that uses so little salt you can’t help but tell your neighbors about it.  A unit that is so simple to use that it gives you a digital reading of every gallon it has used, never keeping you in the dark or guessing how efficient it actually is.  Does this make sense because it should.

Customers love this water softener and as they testimonials suggest, it’s been a very pleasant experience for all of them.  Since you are a consumer, giving a consumers report on this item is what customers enjoy giving.   A water softener of the highest quality, without adding all the additional and unnecessary overhead costs associated with many others that are out there.  The bottom line is this. You get soft water without spending and arm and a leg and since customer reviews and consumer reports are so valuable when making a purchase, doesn’t it make sense to buy without the higher “branding price tag” and saving money, stress and getting everything you want for less money?

I thought so.  Give our website a look at www.guardianwatersoftener.com and perhaps  a phone call to schedule a no pressure, no hype and very friendly test will at least give you the options you are comfortable with.  After all, it’s your money, your option to look at your decision.  Call Jeff at 801 928 8565 and see how much I can save you.

Water Softener Comparison Utah County

WATER SOFTENER COMPARISONS UTAH COUNTY

Water Softener Comparison Utah CountyI have had dozens of potential customers call over the past several months asking this same question.  Of all the water softeners made, which softener is best by comparison?   Just as there are many models of cars, there are many models by comparison in the water softener industry.  So, which one is best by comparison?

Here are the factors to consider when answering such a question.

#1. How hard is the water where the softener will be located?

#2. How many people reside in the home?

#3. Does the customer prefer a metered vs. no metered head?

#4. Is digitally and on demand a feature they would prefer? (highly recommended)

#5. How much space is required and is the home pre-plumbed for a water softener?

#6. Is the home plumbed copper, pex or grey pb piping?

#7. Does customizing one for the home make sense?  (a much more personal approach without a higher price)

There are so many models to chose from and from those I am selecting the best for the money because of these following factors:

#1. Quality of the resins (cheap resins do not last and only soften for a short period of time).

#2. Quality of tank (expensive stainless steel isn’t necessary and does not soften the water.  I use only the thickest fiberglass spun because of the track record and durability.  It’s never failed me.  Cheap thin tanks are there for about 5 to 10 years and then must be replaced.  Companies chose these because they want your repeat business in 10 years.  You decide!

#3.  Quality of the metered head.   On demand metered with smart chip is the best for the money.  Why?  Keeps you informed by metering every gallon and displaying it on the screen.  Also, it only uses salt when necessary and preserves the resin bed from being cleaned prematurely.  Customers#1 choice.

#4. Price   If saving you hundreds or even thousands over the competition is important to you, then listen to and watch the testimonials.  They are all real and I think you will agree, customers feel better about spending less and getting more for their money.

If comparing the best water softeners for the money is important for you and your family, then visit www.guardianwatersoftener.com and call Jeff at 801 928 8565.

Water Treatment Companies Utah

Water Softeners Salt Lake City

Water Treatment Companies UtahThere are many water treatment companies Utah, within this state of Utah.  Recently I was contacted by the manufacturer from another state in hopes of securing me as a dealer for selling his product.   May I indulge in sharing my experience with you as the reader in hopes of providing you with a better foundation for making a better decision when it comes to water purification and water treatment for soft water as well as drinking purified water for your family and good clean soft water for the home.

First I received a very nice letter attached with a nice clean brochure with an invitation for a private phone call which would be set at a time convenient for me.  Most of the time I throw these away, yet I continued to read the fine print.  What the company wanted to provide me with was the opportunity to become a dealer of a product which I have removed from several homes over the years simply because the product did not deliver soft was as specified.  Those companies which previously sold this same system had since gone out of business leaving customers without soft water and as a matter of fact never had soft water since the product had been installed.

I was interested in finding out more myself and offered to listen without bashing or tearing down the rep on the phone.  So, I scheduled a call, listened to his presentation and then opened it at the end for discussion.  I was honest with him in what I had found over the years and shared with him the distaste, unhappy and irate customers who swore this system never worked.

He “him hawed” around for a while as I shared with him that during the week prior,  I had received a call from a gentleman asking me to come and see him about his 8 year old water softener.   It was this same system he was trying to sell me on.  Anyway, this home was a 13,000 square foot home with all the bells and whistles and by anyone’s standards would be considered a modern day castle.

These people were very kind and simply wanted soft water, purified drinking water and a water purification system or a water treatment system from a reputable water treatment company here in the state of Utah.   The man of the home took me downstairs to show me the system he had purchased 8 years prior.  In his own words he said………”if it worked, it was only for a matter of weeks”.   “All I wanted was a system that would give me soft water and a great price.”    I made my evaluation, did a test the water, tried to call the company of which I never received an answer.   I shared with him my recommendation and he said to me, “when can you install a new one.?”

Within 24 hours his entire “castle” had the soft water he has been looking for for the past 8 years.  His wife loved it and it tested at zero grains in all faucets, even out by the pool and in his adjacent office.  Needless to say they were not only happy, they were both elated and offered me to stay for breakfast.

Now, back to the story.  The representative didn’t know what to say.   He changed the subject and said,  “if you become a dealer you have too start with the purchase of 5 units which we will ship to you at the end of the week.”   I smiled and said, “haven’t you heard a word I said?”  Why would I want to carry a product that does not work, does not deliver soft water as you said that it would?   He said may I get back with you?  I never received a call since then.

There are gimmicks out there people want to believe in.  Some pay thousands of dollars because of what they were told would work, does not mean that it will.

If you are looking for a water treatment company in Utah that knows what they are doing and treats every customer with not only respect but offers a great price for the services offered, call guardian soft water at 801 928 8565 and get the water treatment system in Utah for all your water needs.

Utah Water Softener Comparison

Water Softeners Salt Lake City

Utah Water Softener ComparisonRecently, I had a water softener comparison experience that I felt worth sharing.   I almost wish it were from a non-biases outside perspective looking  but since it’s not I’ll do the best in sharing facts as they really are.

I received a call from an interested party wanting the “best deal” on a water softener.   So, the appointment was set and I arrived a few minutes early noticing a car with Kinetico Water Softeners on the side.  At first I thought, “Oh! One of these appointments where two companies were bidding for the sale of their product.  Or, was I the 3rd or 4th  company in line during this bidding war. Either way I waited patiently,  as I didn’t want to embarrass the salesman by coming too soon.

The couple was very cordial and as I could tell interested in finding what I had to offer. Moving into a new home where the water was extremely hard made it easy for them to decide that a softener was the way to go but which one for their money.   I could tell immediately that price were an issue yet they let me know they wanted quality as well and that I obviously wasn’t the first company to give them a pitch.

It’s never been my practice to bash or bad mouth any company or any system.  Especially when reps from all companies need to make an honest living. So I put them at ease and asked them what they knew.  The husband said he had researched Kinetico Water Softeners, Culligan Water, Superior Soft Water, Saltless Water Softeners, and has researched a lot of data on water softener prices on the internet as well as consumer reports and became quit confused because there were so many water softener companies. Everything from GE Water softeners to no name brands from low end home improvements stores. So far Kinetico Water would be his choice unless GuardianWaterSoftener could beat the system.

On the counter in front of me lay Kinetico’s Water Softeners bid, covered up of course were the numbers and price.  So, I simply did what I do and asked them what were the main features they wanted in a water softener.   Quality was number one, price was number 2 followed by a reputable dealer who has a good reputation.     I showed them what I had and about 45 min. later I left the appointment knowing they would give what I shared with them some serious thought.   The wife indicated she would let me know in the morning their decision.

At 9 a.m. I received a text message saying “read your email”.  I knew if they’d made their decision I wouldn’t have received a text.  So, I read my email and it said.  “Jeff we want to do business with you but want a system like Kinetico that has twin tanks so it’s a 24/7 system”.   I felt good that they wanted to do business with me and the fact of the matter is simple, they were impressed with how a Kinetico system worked. Seemed to make a lot of sense and I didn’t blame them for wanting something that seems so logically simple.

They wouldn’t answer their phones because like most people, they didn’t want to be coaxed or coerced into making a decision.  Facts were important to them so I spent time in making some suggestions.  Here are what those suggestions were:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. X

First of all thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit with you in your home last evening. I understand in today’s world how we all want the best for less, me included.   Let me share with you all that I’ve learned in hopes that whatever you decide, it’s your decision and your money and I want you to do what’s best for you.

First of all your water is hard and you need to make it soft. That’s a give and so that part of the conversation we both agree on.  The challenge for you is what system would best suit your needs.  If you were to chose a twin tank system, that’s not a bad decision at all.  Kinetico makes a great system and has a great reputation.  Kinetico isn’t the only company that’s makes a dual tank system to provide soft water 24/7 though.

This may surprise you but the 24/7 softener water has been around for many years.   This type of system is necessary is in the hotels, motels, car washes and any business that has the demand for 24/7 soft water.  Kinetico saw this as an opportunity to capture a certain portion of the market being the homeowners like you and me.  And don’t get me wrong it’s a good system and yes does soften the water and yes it does give you soft water 24/7.  However, there are other things to consider. Most of it is marketing and see if this makes sense to you.  Are you awake 24/7?  No you’re not. Is your home a car wash? No its not.   Are you a commercial laundry mat or high volume water user?  The answer is NO you are not.  You are a home owner who uses water just like everyone else.   Ok that being said what are the variables to consider.  Or in other words the pro’s and cons.  I’ve already given you the pros as water would be soft 24/7 but that’s where it ends.   Both still requires salt to clean the resin bed of all the hardness they’ve removed.

Here is where it starts making more sense.  If one of the twin tanks sits there for 4, 5 or 6 or 7  days until the other tank is ready to run through a cycle, what happens to that water?   The resin sits there, with chlorinated water which then begins to soften the resins causing it to wear out and break down prematurely.    It’s not fresh water, it can’t be because it sits there waiting for the other tank to finish it’s job until it switches to this tank.   Then what happens if you ever have trouble with one of the twin tanks?  Something to think about isn’t it?

Single tanks for home owners has stood the test of time.  Twin tanks were simply created to handle high volumes of soft water.  One company simply wanted to market the concept to home owners.  Yes, it works, they both work and they both produce excellent soft water.   But there are pros and cons to both.  If you were a hotel or car wash the decision is easy.   It’s your decision as I can make either one.

I stepped aside and within 20 min. received this email:  “Jeff, let’s have you built us a system as you recommended.  Thanks for letting us know and by the way, your price beat the others by a mile.  Thanks for your patience.

Within 24 hours from the moment I first met them, the system was installed, checked, tested and works perfectly.  Were they happy?   That evening they had referred me to 2 other people.

Another day with satisfying homeowners Utah water softener needs. I love it!
